Perikles Ghicas
A person-centred focusing-experiential psychotherapist
Why me?

I have lived in London for five years and our therapeutic sessions can be easily held in English.
I am a holder of the European Certificate of Psychotherapy, I am a certified Psychotherapist in Greece and I am also a member of the Hellenic Association for Person-centered & Experiential Approach.
I was trained as a person-centred and focusing-experiential therapist, during a four-year educational programme at the Hellenic Focusing Center. I regularly follow educational programs and seminars to stay up to date with new developments in the field of psychotherapy. I also frequently participate at local, European and World conferences and events of our therapeutic community.
I am actively involved as a volunteer at the Association “Pnoi Agapis”, where I offer twelve therapeutic sessions to each cancer patient or to their caretaker, and also facilitate an on-line encounter group for cancer patients in treatment that live outside Athens. In the past, I facilitated encounter groups for third age people in a neighbourhood of the Municipality of Athens.
Having grown up and lived in various countries, with a Greek father and a French mother, I do not belong anywhere, I am what is popularly known as a ‘third culture kid’, making me open to different cultures, mentalities, ways of thinking and being. I have not always been a psychotherapist, so I also have the experience of how it is to live out there, out of my bubble.
